Gregorian
In the tradition of Enya and Enigma comes music that chills the spine; the Gregorian monks are back with the second chapter of their chant collection. Straight from their pipe organ, the monks hurl out hits after hits from Phil Collins to Pink Floydâ€â€all with their trademark hair-raising baritones and Celtic musical orchestrations. Their album has eleven tracks of classic pop that you can play "Name That Tune". But of course, the novelty of this CD is its opening track, "Moments of Peace," which features the robe-clad Gregorians at their purest. Just for the record, when they’re not singing Led Zep’s "Stairway to Heaven" and collecting golds and platinums from four continents, these monks train choirboys of England’s most famous churches. I wonder if there are spaces left in the pews……
