Partying is such sweet horror

Once again, Halloween night engulfed Manila as the city was transformed into a night of pure slithery fun and endless partying, with hundreds of parties going on all at the same time. It would have seemed impossible for partygoers to enjoy all the revelry Halloween night had to offer. But knowing that Filipinos never miss a good party, they went out and pushed themselves to the limit on this haunting night.

Partying on Halloween started with partygoers catching the all-nighter of Japan’s premium party brand Planet Love, which was brought here by Joey@92.3 and NBC Entertainment. Of course if a party is staged at the NBC Tent@the Fort, one cannot expect anything less than fun, fun, fun—which was exactly what Planet Love offered all its partygoers. Not only does Japan give us a taste of its rich traditions, and scrumptious cuisine, but even a taste of its vibrant club scene as well. People danced the night away to the music of DJ John Robinson, who is also the man behind the concept and success of the Japan-based party brand. Aside from the music, the party people (who came dressed in the most amazing costumes) couldn’t help but sit it out once in a while as they were spoiled by an endless flow of free drinks (Colt 45, Budweiser, Absolut Mineral Water), food (Corndog, Tortilla, Nachos, Sandwiches), and Häagen Dazs ice cream.

Japanese DJ Koutaru also helped pump up the crowd. DJ Koutaru has performed in happening places like Twilo, Limelite, Exit and Life.

Manila’s pride, DJ Robert Villaluz of 78 Orange, made the party even hotter. Around 4,000 clubbers were also treated to an audio-visual experience at Planet Love. They were engulfed by laser lights and mesmerized by giant screens which were controlled by visual jockey Turu whose "visual dreamscapes" were controlled by high-end computers, a video mixer, custom software, and taped images.

Planet Love @ The Tent was presented by Smart Communications, Ford Lynx, Axe Deostick, and MAC. Also by Budweiser, Colt 45, Astring-o-sol, Mossimo, Music One, Tower Records, getasia.com, Preview, Cosmopolitan and FHM magazines, Tortilla Fusion, Nacho King, Oliver’s Super Sandwiches, Muscle Beach, Dencio’s and Häagen Dazs.

And the fun went on.

The night was still young, and there was no better way to end the Hallow’s Eve night than for the partygoers to make their way to 78 Orange. Of course, 78 Orange and NBK indulged their clubbers in a unique Raving Mad Hatter’s Halloween Party. People came in tiaras and galactic headpieces which made those who did not have hats feel rather insecure.

The true stars of the night at 78 Orange were DJ David Jacob and Anthony Kierulf. DJ Manolet Dario heated up the crowd more and so did international DJ Simon Blackjack from Hong Kong. The night was capped with hard house tracks, spun by Nicky Jurado.

The party was sponsored by Lucky Strike, Smart Communications, Joey@92.3, NU 107, Female Network.com, radius, WWF, Seventeen, getasia.com, YS Online, and Pink Patio Resort.
