Meet Derek Ramsay's wife: Fil-Indian Mary Christine Jolly

Not too long ago, rumor has it that celebrity couple Derek Ramsay and Angelica Panganiban have tied the knot when they went on a holiday abroad. But it seems like all these rumors are untrue as a marriage between Derek and Angelica will not be happening anytime soon.

ABS-CBN, the same network where both Derek and Angelica are contract talents, ran a news story about Derek Ramsay’s alleged marriage to one “Mary Christine Jolly,” a Filipino-Indian woman living in Las Piñas City.

Per the marriage contract obtained by ABS-CBN News from the National Statistics Office, the couple wed on April 3, 2002. The marriage was solemnized by Balagtas, Bulacan Mayor Reinaldo Castro and two witnesses signed the marriage contract.

On the face of the marriage contract, one can legally conclude that “Derek Arthur Ramsay” and “Mary Christine Jolly” are still married.

Legal actions being taken

In a television interview, Ramsay said that his legal counsel are currently exhausting available legal remedies to address the controversy.

“My lawyers are taking care of the various legal options that we have and handle the issue. It’s being taken care of as we speak,” said Ramsay.

On the other hand, Ramsay’s current girlfriend Angelica Panganiban decided to maintain a positive outlook on the newest controversy to rock their long-time relationship.

Siyempre, gusto naming harapin na masaya, ‘di ba? So tina-try namin ang best namin na labanan ito, na okay kami,” Panganiban said.

Ramsay’s alleged wife is keeping mum on the issue and is reportedly living outside the country.
