SINGAPORE — The Amazon River in South America is the world’s largest river by discharge volume of water, and is either the world’s longest or second longest at 6,992.6 kilometers.
A new attraction in Singapore, however, claims to give a tour of the Amazon River in just 10 minutes.

River Safari in Singapore is said to be the first and only river-themed wildlife park that offers a quick boat ride in their Amazon River Quest (ARQ), which simulates the experience of the largest river in the world that can be found in South America.
The ARQ features around 30 animal species like the Brazilian Tapir, Giant Anteater, Spider Monkey, Giant Anteater, Maned Wolf, Guanaco, flamingos and the highlight, the jaguar.
The challenge for the visitors is to spot these animals in the 483-meter man-made river since it is innate for them to blend with their habitat.
Missed some of the animals? Good thing park goers are allowed to repeat the ride!
ARQ is inside River Safari, which houses 400 plant species and 200 animal species, in which 40 of them are already threatened. The safari is one of four parks of Wildlife Reserves including Singapore Zoo, Jurong Bird Park and Night Safari.
