MANILA, Philippines - Tourism students of the Lyceum of the Philippines University-Manila were proclaimed overall champions in the recent Union of Filipino Tourism Educators (UFTE) Students Cup, which was participated in by students of 25 Tourism schools from all over the country.
LPU-Manila romped off with three gold medals and one bronze medal.
Winning the gold medal in the Cultural Dance Competition were Glecy Montano, Meann Jea Lascano, Jona Poly Ruga, Sharleen Rose Lopena, Trizhia Yvette Adriano, Princess Joy Arevalo, Czarinna Roxas, Jasel Merlie Sugay, Dillard Jonas Bowers, and Christian Vhon San Miguel.
The gold medal in the Poster-Making Competition went to Michelle Alegre and Vanessa Castillo, while the Gold Medal for Tour Package (International) was won by Elaine Villanueva and Danielle Bill Salanio.
The bronze medal for the Tourism Quiz Bee went to Jaalah Noelle del Rosario, Lorraine Mae Padilla, and Monique Keila Nicolas.
Mentoring the students for these various competitions were their coaches Sally Limgenco and Enrico Cruzada, both long-time faculty members of LPU-Manila’s College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management.
