MANILA, Philippines - SMX Convention Center vice president and general manager Dexter Deyto (left) and Tourism Undersecretary Daniel Corpuz (second from left) lead a group of executives in virtually welcoming the world as represented by the top officers of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) at a global event held in Manila recently. The SMX was the venue of the highly successful PATA Travel Mart (PTM), which brought to Manila almost a thousand executives of 582 companies from 58 countries worldwide. The PTM practically relaunched Manila as a global destination for meetings, incentives, conventions and events (MICE), with the SMX as its hub. Leading the PTM participants were PATA’s 2012 officers headed by chief executive officer Martin Craigs (fourth from left) and vice chairman Rick Antonson (third from right). The others in photo are (from left) SMX sales director Charry Casabar, EDG manager Lea Alfonso, events services director Wines Dy Mariano, human resource manager Marcia Garza, and accounting manager Darelyn Tamayo.
