MANILA, Philippines - Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu has a host of holiday delights for the entire family to enjoy this season.
The resort recently expanded its children’s pool, adding an Aquaplay area with three colorful water slides, a baby bungee and a rainbow shower.
After a day of leisure and recreation, families can relax in the resort’s luxurious guestrooms, which feature private balconies and complimentary in-room wired Internet and Wi-Fi access.
In time for holiday merrymaking, Waves, the seaside bar adjacent to the Cowrie Cove restaurant, has opened. Diners can also delight in the festive set menus offered in the resort’s specialty restaurants.
The Gingerbread House is part of the Christmas Shopping Village located at the main lobby, where premium merchants offer handmade accessories, soft furnishings, home ornaments and works of art. The village is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, until Jan. 3, 2012.
Because Christmas is the best time to be generous, the resort partnered with Vanafi to create the Sparkling Hope tree bedecked with jewelry and semi-precious stones.
Every purchase of a Sparkling Hope card entitles the buyer to guess the tree’s value. The top three winners whose estimates come closest to the actual amount will be rewarded with a two-night stay in one of the resort’s suites. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the ministries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
