Bordeaux opens at The Fort

MANILA, Philippines - Bordeaux, a new wine bar that serves exclusively French wines, is now open at The Fort.

It carries close to 100 different wine labels from 15 major French wine regions, and most are not commercially available elsewhere — reason enough for wine aficionados to check out the place.

Set in a genuine French country style-inspired interior design, Bordeaux has two levels of indoor dining area featuring murals depicting scenes from French chateaus. It also has a quiet and relaxed al fresco dining area at the entrance.

Aside from its exclusive wines, Bordeaux also serves the finest cheeses and exquisite delicatessen that will perfectly pair with the drink.

“Bordeaux will be the ultimate wine bar that will serve only the best French wines meticulously selected from the best wineries in France,” says Don Angelo Padilla, one of the owners.

“We will serve a wide range of wines — from varieties that are affordable enough for any occasion, to the most exquisite, sought after wines in the world — so we can cater to both the casual and sophisticated wine lovers,” he adds.

Bordeaux also aims to promote the art of wine drinking among Filipinos. “The more people learn about wines, the more they will enjoy what they are drinking. Our wine list describes the qualities of each wine, such as the provenance, how they taste and some geographical facts. We believe that it will keep them coming because they would want to know more,” explains business partner Enrique de Castro.

Bordeaux offers a wine buffet where customers can have all the wine that they want for only P750, Mondays to Thursdays, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Bordeaux is located at Unit F Bellagio II, Forbes Town Center, Rizal Drive corner Burgos Circle, Global City. For reservations, call 403-6554 or e-mail at bordeauxwinebar@gail.com.
