Where God is in the details

MANILA, Philippines - There is always a little extra “something” when he adds his touch. Nope, it’s not what you’re thinking. What I meant was  — and this is known by any Bora visitor that encounters a certain Jun Parreno, a full-hearted Ilonggo who now resides in Paradise Island to make sure that you get to experience ”heaven on earth” — that in a service industry, the personal touch goes a long, long way.

Jun’s personal touch is responsible for bringing a place such as Bora premium destination Discovery Shores become much more like — home. Whether it’s preparing a private seaside dinner showered with rose petals for Vic Sotto and Pia Guanio to your own dream of a wedding — they’ve got it covered, with their personalized stamp of beyond expectations service — ”with a heart,” as their button says on the staff uniform. From “welcome home” banners to having a cake with your face on it (yes, I’ve experienced that), Jun somehow knows how to get that ”tickle” even out of the most jaded travelers.

On Jun’s birthday recently, his friends flew from all over to be with him in Bora, surprised him with a “we’ll-take-care-of-everything-you-just-sit-back-and-relax” kind of gathering at Asya Premiere (Choy Lagdameo’s enclave in Station 3 — another drop-dead gorgeous resort — like, wow!) and just made Jun realize how much he is loved.

People like Jun make us realize the beauty of all of life’s little “extras.” Here’s to one hot and fruitful summer, Supreme readers!
