Watchmen Watchmen

Here at Supreme, we’ve always declared it a time for heroes. With all of the pop cultural liberators, rebels, and revolutionaries we feature on these pages, each week, we give you all a reason to celebrate the timed difference they’ve made. Of course, time has always been on our side; heat-ticking time machines none other than Swatch’s reminding us how soon the need for now — people, places, parties, and new points of view — really is.

At the Supreme Awards held recently, Swatch took us all by the wrists once more to honor this year’s time-trusted awardees. With its new 007 Villain collection, the now’s heroes were each given a slick reminder of Bond villains who, despite their evil inclinations and being on the sly, are undoubtedly on the fly.

Of course, with a heartbeat-resounding album and blockbuster romance under her Bayo belt, She Supreme awardee KC Concepcion’s always got time on her side, now with a new 007 villain watch slapped on that wrist. He Supreme media mogul Francis Lumen also clocked in on some sweet time with a new Swatch Villains model as well as Supremo awardee Joey de Leon, Comeback of the Year Gabby Concepcion, and talk ‘n’ tested Televisionary Willie Revillame. And while Young Star columnist Regina Belmonte was Swatch’s Star of the Night with a spankin’ new 007 timepiece, the woman to Swatch —and woman of the hour — was Villain of the Year awardee Angelica Panganiban, who snagged three times the chrono-cool factor with three new Villains models.

Of course, the Supreme team will always be light years ahead in keeping the times’ ideas coming and icons’ smiles beaming at you from these pages. And your Swatch, with a ruthlessly debonair villain behind it or not, will always remind us what time we ourselves need to move our asses and make a difference — even if it’s to flash some style and color from our wrists. Of course, for Swatch and this year’s 007 awardees, more heroic than keeping the times interesting is to look damn good doing it.
