Philippine Fashion Ball honors fashion industry stalwarts

MANILA, Philippines - The words on the invitation  said it all: “Come in extraordinary black, white, or black-and-white.”

The Philippine Fashion Ball has become a well-anticipated annual red carpet affair celebrating Philippine fashion and the people who have made it thrive through the years.

This year’s awardees were Apples Aberin for Fashion Modeling, Robby Carmona for Fashion Direction, Tina Maristela-Ocampo for Global Design, and Tessa Prieto-Valdes and Kaye Tinga for Fashion Advocacy. Capping the fashion citations, the Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to Ben Chan for providing creative venues to widen the market of Filipino talent here and abroad with his countless fashion collaborations.

Lending hair and design expertise was the able team of Toni & Guy, to match the newest designs of Albert Andrada, Jerome Ang, Ivar Aseron, Michael Cinco, Chris Jasler, Sassa Jimenez, Rajo Laurel, Jerome Lorico, Dennis Lustico, Randy Ortiz, Gian Romano, Joey Samson, and Ezra Santos.

And since its entry to Philippine shores last year, O+, the US-born revolutionary maker of smartphone and Android technology, has relentlessly worked hand in hand with the PFB with its vision.
