New cutting-edge cameras from Sony

MANILA, Philippines - Sony Philippines introduces three cutting-edge high-end camera models across categories unlike any in the market.

The new models include the Cyber-shot RX1, the world’s most compact camera, the A99, the World’s first Translucent Mirror camera and the NEX-VG900E, a full HD camcorder with interchangeable lens capability.

“With the new cameras from Sony, we want you to put down that point-and-shoot and step up your game,” said Yasushi Asaoka, president and managing director of Sony Philippines. “Sony’s new line-up of full frame cameras delivers crystal-clear images both at night and in bright daylight making any scenery at every turn inviting year round.”

Capable of recording 24 frames per second in full HD, the Cyber-shot RX1 also features Sony’s signature Carl Zeiss Sonna T lens, especially developed for the RX1 and designed to capture more light for better low-light performance.

The SLT-A99, at 24 megapixels and 6-8 fps, is designed to provide the best of both a DSLR and mirrorless camera. It also omits the movable mirror and optical viewfinder found in DSLRs, moving to a full-time electronic viewrfinder and Sony’s Single Lens Translucent technology.

Sony has also added dust and moisture protection to the A99, a key feature for anyone making a living with their camera. Its shutter is also rated at a hefty 200,000 shots. Other features include a sweep panorama mode, perfectly suited for advanced amateurs.

The NEX-VG900 Handycam camcorder is the world’s first full-frame, interchangeable-lens camcorder and is loaded with Sony-only innovations for the best image quality possible from a Sony video camera.

The improved Bionz engine processes the massive amounts of data from the full-frame sensor at extreme speed without image loss. Brides look as beautiful as they did the moment they said, “I do.”

The three new Sony full frame cameras are available and displayed at Sony Centers in Megamall, Filinvest, and Glorietta.
