Sharon Cuneta, movie and television celebrity: Oh my! My old buddy in IS Lawrence Teodoro! He was the sweetest boy in school, he was like a brother to me. Also old friends of an old friend whom I used to hang out with in the late ’80s, most of them from Ateneo – Al and Angela, Ginny, Gingdee, Bianca, Chris, Ronald, Ritchie, Ito, Bummer etc!
Anton Huang, executive vice president, Stores Specialists Inc. and Rustan Marketing Corporation: When I spent a couple of years in Rome with my grandparents, I was fortunate to meet a Sri Lankan teacher of mine whom I got to know well. His name is Frank Anklesaria, and we fondly called him "Mr. Ankle." It would be great to touch base with him again.
Architect Ramon Antonio: I would like to keep in touch with my schoolmates from my high school and college days, which include those now living overseas.
Gigi Reyes, office of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile chief of staff: I would love to get back in touch with my late dad, Pat Gonzales, even if only through my dreams. He died at 47. Up to now, I still wonder what he would think or say about all the important things I do now or come across with. We shared a common passion and interest in politics and current events during his brief but meaningful life and career as a journalist. I miss my conversations with him.
Jackie Aquino, director: My Grade 3 and 4 class advisers in Don Bosco, Makati. Their names were Mrs. Roca and Ms. Natividad Ventura. Both of them made me believe I was special, that I was someone who could be important, and that if I worked hard, I could be someone I set my heart out to be. Also my swimming coach, Bro. Joel Ferrer, who taught me discipline and who taught me how to win.
Teddy Dario, events manager and Natural Born Klubbers managing director: The person I would like to see most again is Dr. Emerita Quito, my philosophy professor at the De La Salle University, whom I haven’t seen in about 20 years. She would always regale us with her stories of her years in Europe and anecdotes of her professors at the Sorbonne, like Jean Paul Sartre. An intellectual, she spoke several languages fluently, like French, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Latin, among others, inspiring me and thousands of other La Salle students. A strict disciplinarian, she instilled fear in those who didn’t come to class prepared. I would love to just spend the whole afternoon debating with her about anything under the sun in a café along the Champs Elysees!
Bianca Valerio, PMAP model, host and makeup artist: Besides my inner child? I’d like to get back in touch with my very first childhood friend and neighbor, Martin Manlongat. He moved to Connecticut when we were eight years old. He, Ryan Maclang and I were best friends. As kids, we would climb up trees and make mud pies, which they tried to make me eat! It would be nice to have a reunion, just the three of us, on Oprah over some real sumptuous mud pie! Those calories would be worth it, and priceless, too.
Chit Lijauco, Philippine Tatler features editor: I don’t know his name. We met last year in Brisbane at a bar. We had a very long and interesting chat. He gave me his card and we were supposed to meet the following day. He was asking for my card and where I was staying, but I wanted to be a little coy, so I told him I will just call him. But since I was a little tipsy, I lost his card. It was one of those sayang things, because we hit it really well. I guess it was not meant to be.
