I Do is a club that counts as its members luminaries of Tanauan, Batangas who are committed to helping the underprivileged.

The club’s recent posh affair at the Ballroom of Shangri-La Makati was attended by Tanauan’s most accomplished native sons and daughters.

Consul Gen. Miguel Ma. Guerrero and his wife Alice (nee Tesoro); Gov. Hermilando Mandanas; Secretary Renato Corona; Rep. Jose Macario Laurel IV; noted columnist Joe Guevarra; Mayor Cesar Veneracion Platon; Feliciano Laurena Torres; Nora Ambida Torres; board member Vicky Reyes; Sonia Torres Aquino; and Hernani Aquino comprised the reception line.

The affair was formally opened by Consul General Guerrero. This was followed by the introduction of the committee chairman on awards, Dr. Paco Valencia, who was also the evening’s master of ceremonies.

The affair was highlighted by a presentation for seven outstanding public servants who were each awarded substantial cash gifts for their commendable values-oriented performance.

A rigodon de honor choreographed by Marquita "Bujing" Danao featured I Do Club officers led by the consul himself and Sonia Aquino; Jimmy Laya and Lulu Castañeda; Ben Carandang and Linda Nazareth; Jovi Bengzon and Marilyn Corona; Carlito Reyes and Virgie Castillo; Dante Carandang and Odeng Ignacio; Boysie Villavicencio and Thelma Gana; Danny Dolor and Soledad de Leon; Francisco Lirio and Nita Rafer; Hernani Aquino and Alice Guerrero; Angel Malabanan and Vicky Reyes; Tony Halili and Eva Narvaez; Bong Collantes and Queenie; Jaime Nazareth and Nora Torres; Norberto Rafer Jr. and Ellen Carandang; Fred Corona and Antonette Martin; Roland Laurena and Nora Malabanan; Sonny and Maitet Collantes; Rod Reyes and Jean Alibudbud; Tro Portillo and Mita Gutierrez; Thotie Torres and Emer Lirio; Manny Malabanan and Annie Bengzon; and Dario Guevarra and Baby Carandang.

The turnover ceremony was anchored by Mike G. and received by Nani Aquino. This segued to Alice Guerrero (the chairperson of the 53rd Anniversary Ball) thanking the organizers and guests for the very successful affair.
