Fab finds in the biggest bazaar south of Manila

Now in its 17th year, the St. James the Great Christmas Bazaar will be held on Nov. 29, 30, and Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Cuenca Community Center and St. James parking lot, Ayala Alabang Village.

Touted as the biggest bazaar south of Manila, it boasts more than 550 concessionaires. It’s a conglomeration of manufacturers, exporters, and traders from Davao, Cebu, Palawan, Bicol, Iloilo, Bacolod, Baguio, Pampanga, Laguna, and Batangas.

Shoppers will have a heyday shopping for holiday food items, over-runs of branded men’s, ladies’ and children’s clothes, Christmas décor, gift wrappers and boxes, lacquerware, imported bags, house décor, furniture, paintings, among others.

Hungry shoppers can grab a quick bite at the Food Pavilion. Check out the culinary delights offered by Las Paellas, Tapa King, Brothers Burger, Barrio Fiesta, Serye Restaurant, Ellies Roasted Calf, Swifts Hotdogs, Coolman Halo-Halo, Potato Corner, Odd Balls, Theobroma, and other food concessionaires.

Highlight of the bazaar is the grand raffle draw. Prizes include TV sets, DVD players, and other valuable items.

The chairpersons of the event are the mother-and- daughter team of Mimi and Nikki Valerio. Committee members are St. James Foundation president Manny Gonzales, Parish Pastoral Council president Ricky Presa, Edza Gonzales, Titang Montinola, and parish priest Msgr. Ernie Joaquin.

Proceeds of the bazaar will go to the St. James Foundation.

Major sponsors are Swifts Hotdogs, Coca-Cola, Viva Mineral Water, Unilever, Fundador, AC Corporation, Tentworld, Saladmaster, Play & Display and Pronto.
