Pawlympics fun at Pet Express

MANILA, Philippines - It was a sunny and sporty afternoon for all pawlympians and dog enthusiasts as Pet Express recently held its second Doggie Pawlypics at the SM Mall of Asia. Dog lovers of all ages had a lot of fun as cool canines competed in the Dock Diving and Dog Agility competitions.

Chardy Ang, a fifth-time Talentadong Pinoy winner, began the program with an introduction on how to train your dogs. He emphasized that canine sports training should always be nice and easy, so that both pet parents and their dogs could have fun and enjoy some bonding time together.

Jojo Isorena of the Philippine Dogs Athletic Association also encouraged pet parents to have their dogs try different dog sports like dock diving and dog agility, and train them for these.

BB Gandanghari’s Labrador “Ihman” won first place in the Dock Diving Competition for dogs in the 12 inches and below category; while Chardy Ang and his Border Collie “Andi” placed second. Vicky Arseo with her Sheltie Pasha, and Joe Claret with his mini pin “Max,” meanwhile, won the Teacup Dog Agility Competition.

Pet Express and Kibbles n’ Bits also turned over their donations to Philippine Animal Rescue Team, a non-profit animal rescue organization aimed to rescue abandoned, sick and injured animals and provide quality veterinary care, spaying and neutering, and rehabilitation.

The Pet Express Doggie Pawlympics event is held in partnership with Kibbles n’ Bits, PART, Maynilad Water and Philippine Dog Athletics Association.
