MANILA, Philippines -Always wanted to get up close and personal with your favorite animals but realize they’re scattered all over the globe?
Animal Atlas 2 is the answer! This fun and informative series introduces young viewers to every kind of animal imaginable, from the familiar to the astounding, including apes and giant lizards, sharks and tigers, and all other animals from the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia, and everywhere in between. Learn about their lives, their history, and the adaptations that allow them to survive and thrive.
But the best part of all is that viewers get to meet these beautiful creatures face to face all in the comfort of their living room! In each half-hour episode, viewers will discover all there is to know about the animal star of the day and learn a fact or two that will only build their knowledge and love for wildlife.
Animal Atlas 2 premieres daily at 2 p.m., starting Monday, Jan. 21. Encores on the same day at 8 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. and weekends at 3:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

1. Manatees sleep underwater yet still rise to the surface every 20 minutes to breathe.

9. Did you know sharks have to keep swimming to stay alive? Unlike other fish that have swim bladders, which keep them buoyant, if a shark stops swimming, it will sink.
