Donations for animals stuck on rooftops in Bulacan needed

MANILA, Philippines - An ocular done by the Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF), Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAW) and Humane Society International (HIS) last Oct. 2 revealed that there are animals trapped on the roofs of houses in Calumpit, Bulacan.  Various local animal welfare groups are getting ready to go to the flooded areas again within the next few weeks to distribute pet food and much-needed animal supplies.

These groups would need dog food/cat food donations, as well as feeds for chickens, goats and cows.  They also would appreciate getting donations of old clothes, packed food for humans so that animal advocates could distribute them along with the donations for the animals

You may drop off your donations at the PAWS animal shelter on Aurora Blvd,. Katipunan Valley, Loyola Heights, Quezon City during office hours (Mon.-Sat., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Map to PAWS is available at www.paws.org.ph. PAWS wouls appreciate it if all donations are properly labeled with names and e-mail addresses so that PAWS can thank donors and inform them of other needs or the schedules of outreach trips to the affected areas. For those who send donations in kind, ask for an acknowledgment receipt from the PAWS staff members.
