Seda Hotel, located at the heart of the city’s financial district, recently celebrated its first anniversary with “Panlantaw—Seamlessly Weaving Then and Now” at the hotel’s newly renovated Sampaguita ballroom.
Staying true to its Filipino roots and in modern Filipiniana theme, Seda Ayala Center Cebu commemorated its first year in operations with Panlantaw, a Visayan word with different meanings: to look back, to see or to envision. It was the perfect time to reminisce and cherish the property’s year-long memories with all its associates, guests, business partners and patrons.
The event was graced by some notable personalities such as Michael Alexis Legaspi, president and CEO of Ayala Land Hotels and Resort Corporation. The company’s executive committee was also in full support. Andrea Mastellone, Seda Hotel senior group general manager and Efren Rodrigo, group director of engineering of Ayala Land Hotels and Resorts Corporation were among the attendees, alongside Seda Ayala Center Cebu general manager Gwen de la Cruz.
One of the highlights of the evening was a fashion show that featured the modern terno collection of internationally acclaimed Cebuano designer Philip Rodriguez. Taking his inspiration from the silk scarf or manton de Manila, the collaboration perfectly captured both Rodriguez’s flair for timeless elegance and Seda’s commitment to seamless service excellence.
The evening proved to be entertaining with performances from the UC dance troupe, Sinulog Idol 2012 first grand winner Jacky Chang, and homegrown advocates for Cebuano music, the Wonggoys.
