A silver lining

Best of friends and long-time partners Arthur and Kathryn Manuntag exchanged “I do’s” at the Shrine of Jesus (The Way, the Truth and the Life) Church at the Mall of Asia Complex.  Twenty-five years ago, Arthur and Kathryn met as members of a band performing at five-star hotel lounges both here and abroad. A civil wedding and two smart kids later, the couple finally faced the altar, just in time for the silver anniversary of their civil wedding.  The much-awaited nuptial was graced by a long list of principal sponsors that included Manila mayor Joseph Estrada, Ilocos Norte representative Imelda Marcos and Dr. Elenita Binay.  Family members, close friends and friends in the industry witnessed the church union and attended the lavish reception at Midas Hotel Tent.

Ladies who serve

The generous ladies of the All Nations Women’s Group (ANWG) gathered at the Philippine General Hospital Cancer Institute Building in Manila for the inauguration of the institute’s newly-renovated chemotherapy and ambulatory room. The noteworthy project to upgrade the said room was successfully completed during the term of immediate past president Arlene Jacobo. Certificates of appreciation were also given to individuals and organizations for their invaluable support in this remarkable venture.
