MANILA, Philippines - DMCI Homes representatives recently turned over to new homeowners their units at La Verti Residences along Taft Avenue in Pasay City. For the Subia and Lim families, receiving the keys to their new homes marks the start of enjoying the many benefits of living in the residential resort community.
Glenn Subia, unit owner in one of La Verti’s two 41-story residential towers, felt it already during the turnover ceremony on March 28.
“I like the breezy interior of the building and the outdoor amenities on the ground floor,†said the 53-year-old lawyer and father of five, Subia also likes the view of Manila Bay from the balcony of their 26th floor two-bedroom unit.
Luchie, 43, fell in love with the swimming pool. “I also like the building’s interior and earth color; it’s like in our house in Parañaque.â€

“I might be staying here twice a week because I teach at the Arellano University School of Law,†said Subia.

For Shelley, 18, their new home is close to her alma mater DLSU. Justin, 23, will have an easy commute to work in Makati through nearby Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue.
“I don’t like a condo unit because it’s so stuffy. It’s so small; the space is not comfortable to live in,†Helen Lim said.
But Steve got her to reconsider owning a condo after they visited Tivoli Garden Residences.
“Going there, we saw how breezy and airy the place is. The swimming pool and Sky Lounge were nice,†Lim said of resort-themed, five-tower condo community of DMCI Homes in Mandaluyong City.
Impressed by Tivoli, when they saw a billboard of La Verti Residences two years ago, they bought a unit there.
La Verti Residences also attracted a property investor from New York City, Ivan J. Irizarry, 64. Irizarry is a frequent visitor to the Philippines, where he plans to retire. He always stays at a hotel near Buendia whenever he is in the country. He decided to buy a unit at La Verti Residences to be his new vacation home.
Irizarry described his La Verti unit as fabulous and said the workmanship, finishing, color, comfort, lighting, doors, construction and materials used are the best. Comparing his condo in South Beach, Florida and apartment in Central Park West, New York City to La Verti’s, Irrizary said, “This is perfect. Everything is well done.â€
