Beautiful landscapes await Sonria residents

MANILA, Philippines - A beautiful landscape can add value to any home. In the case of condominiums, a well-planned landscape design not only serves as a value proposition, but a necessary “accessory” as well.

GeoEstate Development Corp. consigns huge emphasis on the importance of a well-designed landscape. GeoEstate’s senior management team put much thought into the project’s landscape design. “The advantage of working in a smaller firm is that we can afford to be meticulous with every aspect of our project so that we can come up with an entirely distinctive offering,” explained president and COO Miriam Katigbak.

Crearis Environmental Design, the landscape architectural agency was tapped for Sonria, integrated concepts that are modern yet sympathetic to the environment. “The design we will implement is more sensitive to the land. For instance, instead of cutting down full-grown trees within the property, the hardscape intends to accommodate those trees,” Crearis managing director Michael Espiritu shared.

Sustainable practices will be the focal point in Sonria’s landscape design. A storm water retention system will be built to prevent flooding and erosion caused by heavy rains. For its softscape features, indigenous plants that are compatible with Alabang’s soil quality and Philippine weather will be used.

Katigbak revealed that the project’s landscape design was carefully planned to blend seamlessly with the blueprint of the entire project. For one, it intends to complement and accentuate the tasteful selection of amenities for the exclusive use of its residents and guests. Intuitively located shrubbery will serve as natural screens to maintain the privacy of residents with unit decks facing the amenity area. The playground was elevated to secure the safety of the children from whizzing vehicles on the road, but it still managed to mimic the atmosphere of a garden park.

Sonria is the second residential project of GeoEstate, with The Beacon Makati being its maiden venture. Situated within the Madrigal Business Park, this high-end vertical residential complex is just a few steps away from important destinations such as private schools, commercial centers, business districts and posh villages in the South. The future residents of Sonria consist of second-generation Alabang residents who want to enjoy the double-edge advantage of independence amid the familiar atmosphere of their childhood hometown.
