Ayala Malls presents 28th Negros Trade Fair at Glorietta

MANILA, Philippines - Ayala Malls, the country’s premier shopping and dining destination, presents the best of Negrense artistry and ingenuity in the “28th Negros Trade Fair” at the Glorietta Activity Centers until tomorrow.

The Fair was officially opened last Sept. 24 by Senate President Franklin Drilon, Senators Edgardo Angara Jr., Grace Po, Cynthia Villar, Ayala Corporation chairman of the board Jaime Augusto Zobel, and Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo G. Maranon.   Negros City mayors and councilors with the Ayala Land team led by Ayala Land president Antonino Aquino and vice president and head of operations & support services of the Commercial Business Group Rowena Tomeldan were also present at the event.

As the Negros Trade Fair celebrates 28 years of success, it comes back to where it all began: Makati. In 1985 The House of Negros Trade Fair was first held at the Quad Carpark.  The following year, it was held at Hotel Nikko Manila Garden Hotel.

For several years after that, the Negros Trade Fair moved out of Makati and traveled to Pasay City and Mandaluyong, to large venues that could accommodate its fast growing participation and patronage.

This year, the 28th Negros Trade Fair is back to where it started, in Ayala Center’s Glorietta Mall.

A new addition is the package counter where shoppers can leave their bags. For those who want to get information about the province, a tourist pavilion has been set up where the provincial government and some of the cities in the province have information desks.

The Negros Fair is ongoing at the Glorietta Mall Activity Center until tomorrow.
