Best spa experience in Cebu

Perfect as it is, Plantation Bay Resort and Spa has another stellar attraction in its world-class spa named “Mogambo Springs,” says general manager Efren Belarmino. Built to resemble an 18th-century Tokugawa Japanese village, Mogambo Springs is picture-perfect with its cascading waterfalls, an abundance of bamboo trees and exotic-looking plants.   Four pools filled with either fresh or mineral-enriched salt water, running hot (at 38 degrees Centigrade) or cold await guests.   With built-in jacuzzis, pressurized needle shower, bubblers, and gentle water streams, each pool promises a dip both unforgettable and hydrotherapeutic.  Mogambo Springs spa manager Colleen Barcelona manages an all-female staff of therapists, all registered nurses.   For wellness, Colleen suggests “Loving Life,” a modified detox program that focuses on eating the right food at the right time based on three body cycles.  A stay of four days and three nights is recommended for full results.  A highlight of the program is colon cleansing.  For more details on Mogambo Springs and the Loving Life package, call Plantation Bay Resort and Spa at (63-32) 505-9800 or its Manila sales office at 844-5024 to 25, email sales@plantationbay.com or visit plantationbay.com.

Bohol: An exceptionally natural haven

Being in Bohol entails getting closer to nature. That’s exactly the idea behind Philippe Tarsier Recreation, Inc., a sanctuary for the soul, created by Nicolas Moussempes and wife Patricia, located just a few meters away from The Bellevue Resort in Panglao. This seven-hectare lush property houses 3,000 species and varieties of tropical plants, extensive collection of sculptures, paintings, several species of animals and a café overlooking the South Bohol Sea and Siquijor.

Fun times for Mariliese!

Friends make our life happier, and that is especially true to the energetic and hardworking realtor and developer Marieliese Saldaña Evaristo, who recently celebrated her birthday, not once, but twice! First was a dinner filled with music and dancing at her residence in San Lorenzo Village, Makati. A pleasant surprise for the celebrator was the Philharmonic Orchestra who played music during the dinner, courtesy of her dear friend Ramon Torres. Another revelry followed the next day at Balducci Ristorante hosted by Sylvia Reynoso Gala. Marieliese’s classmates from Assumption wished her more success and happiness.
