Disinfecting made easy

MANILA, Philippines - Clorox Regular Bleach, the brand trusted by homemakers around the world for cleaning goals that include eliminating common fungi, bacteria and viruses, makes a comeback through Clorox International Philippines Inc. (CIPI). Here are some useful ways to use Clorox:

•Feeding bottles. Soak pre-washed bottles for two minutes in a solution of one tablespoon Clorox Regular Bleach and a gallon of water. Pour the solution right through the nipples, then drain and dry.

•Sippy cups. Disinfect cups by combining one tablespoon of Clorox Regular Bleach per gallon of water and soaking the pre-washed cups for two minutes. Drain and air dry.

•Wooden cutting board. Eliminate disease-causing microorganisms by mixing three tablespoons Clorox Regular Bleach per gallon of water, then pour the solution over pre-washed cutting boards, and let stand for two minutes. Rinse with one tablespoon Clorox Regular bleach per gallon of water. Do not rinse or soak overnight.

•Travel mugs. Packing your own drink is convenient and cash-saving but it can expose the container to all kinds of germs that will not be removed by simply washing it. Here’s a quick way to sanitize: Wash as normal, then soak in one tablespoon of Clorox Regular Bleach per gallon of water for two minutes, drain and air dry.

Clorox Bleach is available in lemon and lavender scents and sold in major supermarkets nationwide.
