MANILA, Philippines - Samsung Electronics beat more than one thousand exhibitors to win the best booth at the 19th Philippine Construction, Equipment and Building Materials Exhibition and Technology Forum (Philconstruct), the country’s largest building technology show.
“We are honored and delighted to be recognized as the best booth at this year’s Philconstruct. The exhibition is indeed the best platform to launch our latest range of air-conditioning solutions for both commercial and home buildings,” said DJ Kim, Samsung consumer electronics, home appliances advisor.
Samsung unveiled its latest air-conditioner featuring the MPI (Micro Plasma Ion) feature. Exclusive to Samsung, the MPI technology is able to safely eliminate more than 99 percent of allergy-inducing agents, viruses and fungi. MPI is known to be more effective than other ion-purifying systems and is also used in automobiles and aircraft. With the Seal of Approval for removal of airborne allergens from the British Allergy Foundation, consumers can breathe easier with the Samsung air-conditioners.
On the energy-saving front, Samsung introduces the innovative S-inverter technology which is intelligent enough to use the least amount of electricity to maintain the desired temperature. Another energy-saving feature found in Samsung air-conditioners is the Smart Saver function available in non-Inverter models which operates the unit automatically to cool a room in the least amount of time to achieve up to 31 percent electricity savings. It also prevents excessive power usage by reducing the length of time necessary to reach the desired temperature.
“Enhancing consumer well-being is the key priority for Samsung,” added Kim. “Our air-conditioners not only care for the health of consumers with the MPI technology but also the health of the environment with its energy-saving features.”
The Samsung MPI and S-inverter functions will be available in all leading appliance stores starting January 2010.
