One Pacific Place: Architecture in motion

The building design of One Pacific Place will be architecture in motion,” says young and accomplished architect Albert Yu. The phrase “architecture in motion” is more commonly associated with the work of architectural icon Frank Gehry, and we wondered if the development would follow Gehry’s expressionistic and postmodern style.

“It will be architecture in motion because the building will have a different façade on each side. The result is that there will be a different perspective when viewed from a particular angle,” clarifies Yu. “The design will be iconic but simple, and will promote the tenets of green architecture.”

One Pacific Place is the latest project of the ACI Group, the developer of luxury business hotel Pan Pacific Manila, and the Adriatico Square, a recreational and entertainment complex located in Malate, Manila.

Pan Pacific Manila has been voted the Philippines’ Leading Business Hotel by the World Travel Awards organization this year, and has been rated one of the top 700 places to stay in the world by the Conde Nast Traveler Annual Gold List.

“We are very proud of our accomplishments in Pan Pacific Manila and Adriatico Square, and we will deliver yet another outstanding lifestyle proposition in our newest project,” says Miriam Lieuson, vice president for public affairs of the ACI Group and Cactus Realty Corporation. The company is a strong, reliable and financially viable enterprise backed by low-key principals.

The high- rise One Pacific Place development will commence construction this year in the prime Salcedo Village, Makati, area.

“Residents will have easy access to the most prominent commercial, business and lifestyle destinations. These include the Makati Medical Center, Ateneo Graduate School and many multinational offices, banks and embassies,” says Lieuson.

Its convenient location will make walking conducive, thus eliminating fuel consumption and promoting a healthier, more active lifestyle for residents.

A two-floor amenity center that includes a grand central lobby, state-of-the-art recreational and gym facilities, lounges with Wi-Fi access and a day care center are part of the development plan.

Aside from design features that include flexible and clean, streamlined spaces, the 35-story structure maximizes the use of natural lighting and ventilation. This is in consonance with the current market’s growing awareness of the need for efficient energy consumption and an environmentally attentive lifestyle.

On the other hand, residents who abide by more traditional beliefs will also be pleased to know that consultation with an expert ensures that the elements of feng shui were also taken into consideration.

What makes One Pacific Place different from other developments?

“Our commitment is to make the Salcedo lifestyle as affordable as possible” says Lieuson.

An entry point of P1.98M, flexible down payments and payment schemes and monthly amortization of as low as P10,500 makes owning a unit accessible to more people.

“We know what the realities are. In view of the price increases, certainly real estate will be affected. But if you lock into today’s prices and value goes up next week, then you have a ‘win- win’ situation,” adds Lieuson.

ACI Group has committed to exercise due diligence to provide the best quality in the development. Moreover, a strong financial backbone ensures that it can be completed on schedule.

“We can complete the building without need of additional investors,” reveals Lieuson.

For people on the lookout for a new home or additional real estate investment opportunities, One Pacific Place is an excellent alternative.
