I start my mornings with a hefty meal at the buffet breakfast of Prince Hendrik Café while reading my favorite paper, The Philippine Star. After the meal, I love taking walks along Regencys beachfront. Did you know that Regency has the widest beach front in the whole of Boracay, spanning all of 125 meters? You can walk through the landscaped gardens and see Henrys amazing kois collection in the ponds. The hotel is also a modern convention center that can accommodate 650 people.
By the time I get back, Id see my grandchildren swimming in one of Regencys pools or making sandcastles on the beach. I stretch out on one of the beach chairs with a book in hand, and its not long before one of Regencys friendly staff brings me a fresh fruit shake to cool me down. Lunch is at Café Christina where I get to choose from the days catch and have the expert cooks prepare the dish to my liking. The café also boasts the best coffee frappuccinos in Bora.
Leisurely afternoons I spend watching bikini-clad women by the pool, while my sons and grandchildren go banana boating or island hopping, which the front desk officer has efficiently organized for them. Merienda is at the Regency Food Plaza, where I can have a taste of various cuisines while being serenaded by an acoustic singer. A little walking and shopping and its time to eat again! An al fresco buffet dinner at Gazebo Bar with the whole family is the perfect way to end the day. If I were younger, Id surely be at the Wave Disco and KTV Bar dancing and crooning, or at Alfons Garden Bar & Grill having beers and catching up on the latest news with my Boracay friends, but instead I retreat to my luxurious suite and think of how perfect the day went.
