At the recent inauguration of the Mabuhay Spa Experience, guests from business and society circles showed up to become the first customers to experience the first-of-its-kind health resort. Health was the main theme, and even the cocktail menu featured an assortment of healthy foods: Veggie sticks, Melba toasts, mini spinach and kesong puti quiche, phyllo pastry, fresh fruit juices, and a variety of dips. Guests of honor Jojo Zabarte and Mayenne Carmona showered everyone with sampaguita blossoms for good luck, marking the formal opening of the spa.
The spa has a total area of 1,350 square meters making it the largest spa facility in the metropolis, and the interiors showcase the elegance of our rich Philippine art and culture. Health attendants exhibited the world-famous Filipino hospitality as they led the guests into the comfortable rooms for a sample massage. "The Mabuhay Spa Experience is a humble attempt to highlight the best qualities the Philippines has to offer," says Marjorie Lopingco, spa operator and consultant. "We call our spa Mabuhay because it is a trademark of the Filipinos gracious greeting to international friends and visiting guests," says Yoon Young No, YNC Corporation chairman and developer of the Makati Golf Club.
