MLAC to hold parenting seminar

MLAC Institute for Psychosocial Services, Inc. will kick off its year with a parenting seminar called "Parenting Academy 2."

MANILA, Philippines – MLAC Institute for Psychosocial Services, Inc.will once again conduct a one-day seminar on parenting as part of  their flagship program, “Parenting is NATION-BUILDING.”

After its successful Parenting Academy Convention last year, MLAC will hold its annual Parenting Academy convention for the second time with “Parenting to build family resilience” as theme.

MLAC team and Dr. Ma. Lourdes “Honey” Carandang will lead the discussions on parenting to build family resilience, parenting in non-traditional families, fatherhood, emotional resilience, solo parenting and tuning in to children, among others.

Last year, the Parenting Academy was held Feb. 7, 2015 and was attended by 300 participants which included not only parents but also teachers, counselors, psychologists, students and people of different backgrounds from various parts of the country.

This year, the Parenting Academy 2 will be held on February 27 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Henry Sy Auditorium, St. Luke’s Medical Center, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

For those who are interested to attend the parenting workshop the ticket prices are as follows:

  • Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP) members – P2,000

  • Non-PAP members – P2,500

  • Students – P1,000
