Dreams do come true

A debut inevitably brings fond memories that get replayed over and over again through the years. That’s why our Princess of the Day Cristina Gomez noted, "A debut is an event many girls look forward to. After all, a debut is one event only girls can experience while boys can only watch with wonderment."

Since her childhood, tall and attractive Cristina G., the daughter of mega businessman Arlu Gomez and exotic beauty Dandy Santos Gomez, had wished for a debut, dahlings. "I want to feel like a real princess, if only of one night," she would say. So when the time came, her parents made sure their beloved daughter’s wish did come true, palanggas.

With the help of her parents’ close friends, planning the debut was a piece of cake for Cristina G., dahlings. Design genius JunJun Ablaza oversaw the fantastic arrangements at the colossal Makati Shangri-La Hotel’s Rizal Ballroom. Following a fairy tale theme, he transformed the ballroom into a castle-like venue. The hand-painted background was completed after three whole months of hard work, would you believe?

The gazebo outside the ballroom featured the debutante’s pictures taken by her handsome and talented brother, Arlu Miguel. Beautiful floral arrangements topped magnificent alabaster stands lining the ballroom’s sides. Pink, lilac and blue flowers, white and red roses together with grapes and chocolate kisses, comprised the eye-catching three-layered centerpieces. The absolutely breathtaking ballroom smelled like a garden due to the numerous flowers used. JunJun definitely deserved a standing ovation for his designing masterpiece, dahlings.

Naturellement,
a debut would not be complete without a traditional cotillion. Cristina G. was escorted by Mark Vergel de Dios. The young gents who joined them were Reginald Gamboa; Luigi Guerrero; Enzo Katigbak; Miggy Lazaro; Bryan Marasigan; Martin Naguiat; Migo Samia; Rafa Silva; Miko Sy; Brian Tanchangco; JP Tanchangco; and Ivan Vera Cruz.

The young ladies of the cotillion were Cristina G.’s Poveda pals: Carissa Buendia; Celeste Capulong; Mariel del Rosario; Henrika Felizar; Jackie Kierulf; Rizza Lazaro; Isabel Lopez; Miel Lopez; Erika Moran; Addie Palma Gil; Leah Salvador; and Pamy Velilla.

Three months of practice definitely paid off, thanks to magnum choreographers Bujing Danao, Dallah Pia and Gerry Mercado. The debutante’s aunt Lit del Rosario created the cotillion members’ pink beaded gowns that matched Cristina G.’s hand-painted gown created by world-class Patis Tesoro. Cristina G.’s perfume giveaways, thanks to Mira Meneses, perfectly reflected the debutante’s scent and color preferences.

The debut had no dull moment, palanggas. Everything was perfectly timed and coordinated. The debutante’s father, being a perfectionist, went all out to make his daughter’s grand debut a success. The lights and sound system handled by a local TV channel added drama to the affair.

In all, this is one superbly organized debut moi can describe as simple yet elegantly tasteful.

No wonder why Cristina G. could only exclaim, "Dreams do come true!"
‘Reliv’ your youth
Guess who I bumped into, palanggas? Former Miss Caltex Aurora Patricio who has been away from Cosmo Manille for 14 years. She married former Caltex Philippines chairman and Caltex International’s concurrent VP Raul Paredes.

The couple lost their son Paolo to cancer when he was four years old and a Poveda kinder student. To ease their pain, they relocated to the Caltex Headquarters in Dallas, Texas, where they live until now. The good Lord blessed them with two more children.

Aurora P. became a full-time hands-on mom. But she suffered from chronic migraine, fatigue and backaches. One day, a house guest, Sister Mary Placid, introduced her to Reliv. Although she was skeptical, Aurora P. tried Reliv upon Sister Mary’s prodding.

Soon apres, Aurora P.’s children noticed that their mom’s "giant headaches" were gone. Even her husband noticed a new glow in her. She thus realized that Reliv had worked! She then offered it to Raul who was constantly traveling to the Caltex Asian offices. Raul would suffer allergies upon entering hotel rooms. And because he wanted to finish his activities to quickly jet back to his famille, he always found himself on a tight schedule. Since he took Reliv, dahlings, he says, "All my allergy symptoms are gone and there are no more jet lags."

Soon, some of their close pals were taking Reliv. Aurora decided to become a distributor. In no time, she was making almost as much as Raul from Reliv, besides getting travel bonuses.

Raul opted for an early retirement to spend more time with his famille. He also joined Aurora and they became the Silver Ambassador and Members of the prestigious Reliv’s Inner Circle.

On vacation in Manille with their children, the couple are mixing pleasure with business by promoting Reliv. Aurora immediately contacted her former neighbor, eye-catcher Betsy Tenchavez and long-time pal, civic-oriented socialite Nini Licaros, and signed them up as her distributors.

David Frank of Maryland claims, "My mother looks like she’s had a facelift in just three months on Reversage." Others have testified how their skin have become firmer, their hair more lustrous, their minds more alert, and their blood pressure and triglycerides within normal or lower. Reliv is safe. It is a long-time health insurance. They say that it has even enhanced sexual function and desire. In fact, dahlings, Dr. Vera, chairman of St. Luke’s Anti-aging Department, has written about all the anti-aging ingredients and says, "They really work."

Interested? Well, why not? Check it out by calling Nini Licaros and Betsy Tenchavez now at tel. nos. 911-5403 and 911-4971.
