Ogalala opens at The Shang

MANILA, Philippines - Ogalala recently opened its flagship store at the East Wing of Shangri-La Plaza.

With its banner “Dress Up, Play, & Explore” concept, Ogalala is envisioned as a one-stop destination for kids that fosters learning, play, and self-expression through fashion. Ogalala is a one-of-a-kind shop which combines fashion and play brands in one store.

Developed by Internationale Globale Marques Inc. (IGM) and based on child development and parenting insights, Ogalala’s System in Play integrates play products and educational toys to develop children’s physical, intellectual, social, and emotional skills.

Ogalala takes its name from the word “ogalala,” which is a vast body of water from underground used for drinking and irrigation. Translated into the world of kids, Ogalala serves as the well or source of creative ways to educate children through play.

“We at IGM believe that education through play is the foundation for a holistic life. This is why we developed the Ogalala System in Play concept so that we can offer Filipino kids the best play and education tools to equip them in their journey towards knowledge and self-discovery,” said IGM COO Maye Yao Co Say. “To help us in our mission to promote learning through play, we brought to Ogalala a roster of globally-trusted brands that specialize in kids’ education. They serve as our partners in our quest for an intelligent, well-rounded, and globally-competitive Filipino child.”

Housed inside the colorful halls of the Ogalala store are products from brands like Crayola, the expert in color and creativity tools, arts and crafts brand Melissa & Doug, and award-winning manufacturer of organic toys HABA. Also in the line-up is science-focused brand Artec, which offers the Hands On Lab series and science craft sets, and Animal Planet and Discovery Kids, which are known for their detailed wildlife models, binoculars, and telescopes.

Ogalala also carries global fashion brands Nautica, Desigual and Elle to keep kids stylish and on-trend.
