Cushe sets foot in Manila

MANILA, Philippines - Finding a brand that values individuality is a challenge. Cushe Footwear prides itself on reflecting a way of life that is independent, and one that gives people the freedom to do things their own way at their own pace.

Cushe (pronounced as “cushy”), born in the summer of 2004, was conceived by a group of footwear enthusiasts based in the UK as a direct response to the global brands that dominate the market.

Recently, Cushe Footwear launched the first-ever Cushe boutique in the country which is, in fact, also the first standalone store in the world. A brand that aims to be different, creatively inspired by music and sport, Cushe presented “Cushe Live! Urban Art Fest” — a night of urban expression in music, movement, and magic — at TriNoma.

“Cushe Live! Urban Art Fest” featured on-the-spot exhibitions by graffiti artist Egg Fiasco, T-shirt designs by creative group Wewilldoodle, as well as the “Urban Safari” exhibit by photographer and avid longboarder Brendan Goco. Street magician Conrad Alampay, street-dancers, and mimes made the night even more festive.

The featured mini-concert was a celebration of different musical genres from electronica to funk and rock. Bands included the Techy Romantics, Archipelago, and Franco, along with other Cushe bands such as The Out of Body Special and Angulo. Celebrity guests were Phoemela Baranda, Rovilson Fernandez, Enchong Dee, and other Cushe supporters.

Cushe Footwear is available at the Cushe boutique, third floor, Ayala TriNoma, and will soon open its second boutique at the Newport City Mall.

The Cushe booth is also located at the Power Plant Mall in Makati, offering a lineup of sandals and slippers under the Coastal Supremacy line.
