Chateau Haut-Brion, has been one of the most prestigious Bordeaux wines since 1855. It was conceived in 1533 by Jean de Pontac, which makes it the oldest wine estate in Bordeaux and the world’s first luxury brand. In 1935, American financier Clarence Dillon visited Bordeaux, fell in love with Haut-Brion’s charm and bought the chateau. Today, Clarence Dillon’s great-grandson, Prince Robert of Luxembourg, runs the family-owned and -managed company, Domaine Clarence Dillon.
The oldest of the Bordeaux classed growths, the wines are the embodiment of five centuries of tradition and play a pivotal role in the worldwide history of wine. With every swirl you discover new aromas, which build up into great complexity. But the power of the wines is revealed in its long mid-palate and even longer finish.
