MANILA, Philippines -Dunkin Donuts has added a new dimension of fun when a customer takes home a box of donuts. Each box offers a virtual piece Derek Ramsay in its augmented reality boxes.
Augmented reality allows still images to move dynamically without having to infuse or embed electronics work on the surface where the image is printed.
All one needs is to download the Zappar app from Play Store (for Android devices) or iTunes (on Apple devices). Launch the app and once the camera comes on, aim it towards Derek and watch something delicious come to life.
But here’s an added treat for everyone on Twitter: @DunkinDonutsPH will tweet a question each day starting Oct. 14. A correct answer wins prizes from Dunkin’ Donuts. Winners get to spend a day with Derek either for shopping, for playing, for hanging out and oh, even for a fun date.
Dunkin Donuts will choose three winners for a chance to do any of such fun activities. Ongoing until Nov. 30, interested participants just have to buy a dozen Dunkin’ Donuts and they will be given one of the two Derek Posters, which they have to take a picture of themselves with in a most creative way.
Participants have to go to the Day with Derek Application on the Dunkin’ Donuts Philippines Fanpage. Upload the photo there with an explanation on why does he/she deserves to spend a day with Derek with the hashtag #DaywithDerek.
They also have to register the following details: Full Name, Email Address, Home Address, Mobile Number and Birthday. After successfully providing all the details required, a confirmation will be sent through email for every successful registration.
