MANILA, Philippines -The J.Co Donuts & Coffee chain opened its 12th store at Glorietta 2, Makati. The newest branch is located at the newly reconstructed Glorietta 2, across the corner of SM Makati and Park Square. It is a spacious 236-square-meter corner location.
Gracing the event was Gita Herdi, the marketing director of the Johnny Andrean Group, who flew in from Indonesia to warmly welcome guests. Herdi explained to the guests how much she appreciated the overwhelming response the Filipino market has for the brand — opening 12 branches in their first 12 months in the Philippines only shows how fond Filipinos have become of their donuts and coffees. Also present were Oszen Chan, president of Contemporain Foods Inc. (CFI); Carlos Chan, chairman emeritus of CFI; Edgar Sia, stockholder of CFI; Natasia Liu, international franchise officer for J.Co, along with stockholder Antonio Co and Indonesian Ambassador to the Philippines Y. Kristiarto S. Legowo.
View allMagic 89.9’s Sam YG hosted the event, along with former Pinoy Big Brother housemate and Ateneo volleyball player Robi Domingo and Gretchen Ho. Media guests participated in a celebrity round of J.Co Donut Trivia, where Team Robi battled wits against Team Gretchen in an effort to see who knew their J.Co donuts the best. A buffet of donuts was also served to the guests, featuring J.Co’s 12 bestselling donuts such as the Alcapone, Oreology, Tiramisu, Avocado Di Caprio, Mr. Green Tea, Why Nut, Blue Berrymore, Don Mochino, Choco Caviar Chocolate, Jcoccino, Coco Loco, Heaven Berry, and Green Tease.
As if the donuts itself were not enough reward, three media winners also took home a brand-new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, which was personalized and specially made to have automatic Wi-Fi access in all J.Co stores nationwide. The program also awarded 12 lucky J.Co fanatics who have shown their support for the brand since the beginning, from its first opening in SM Megamall up to today.
