The recent fun celebration of Oktoberfest at the Casino Español de Cebu left no room for skeptics to wonder.
Welcoming the festive merrymakers was the club’s two-term president Manoling Sainz with vice president Buddy Veloso.
With their beer mugs in hand, the members and guests gathered at the foyer and veranda to enjoy the evening’s much-talked-about festivities.
The San Miguel beer endlessly flowed, as the efficient and ever-ready-to-serve waiters delivered pitcher after pitcher of the much desired cold draft.
Spread around the veranda were several food stations that had an assortment of German sausages, hams, a variety of salads, vegetable sidings and mashed potatoes. There was an assortment of condiments like mustards from Dijon to stone-ground varieties, relishes, pickles and cheese complemented the typical, all-time-favorite German dishes.
For dessert, the ever-popular apple strudel was a favorite among the many pastries offered.
Dedicated resident manager Rudy Rubi, OIC manager May Ocaba together with the rest of the staff of Casino Español outdid themselves with the festive preparations which surpassed everyone’s expectations.
