The Pen promises the sweetest Valentine with champagne, roses & Hermes

MANILA, Philippines - Filipinos enjoy celebrating Valentine’s Day by dining out at their favorite restaurants or staying the night at their favorite hotel.

“The idea is that romance and fine dining go hand-in-hand,” says Laurent le Deu, The Peninsula Manila food & beverage director.

Here are a few of The Peninsula Manila’s romantic suggestions that will surely win lovers’ hearts on Valentine’s weekend from Feb. 13 to 14.

At Escolta, dinner buffet is at P2,000 (adults) and P990 (kids under 12). A buffet dinner with a glass of champagne is P2,600. At The Lobby, the dinner buffet is P1,900 (adults) and P990 (kids under 12).   Buffet dinner with a glass of Champagne is P2,500. Entertainment is by Peninsula Strings. Old Manila offers a five-course set dinner at P4,100 (inclusive of a glass of Champagne for adults) and P3,500 (adults) on Feb. 13. On Feb. 14, there is a five-course set dinner at P4,500 (inclusive of a glass of champagne for adults) or P4,000 (adults). On Feb. 13, at Mi Piace, there is a four-course set dinner available for P2,300 (inclusive of a glass of champagne for adults), P1,7000 (adults) and P1,150 (children under 12). On Feb. 14, there is a four-course set dinner at P2,700 (inclusive of a glass of Champagne for adults), P2,100 (adults) and P1,200 (children under 12).   

The hotel is offering the “Ultimate Romance” package until Feb. 14. Room rates start at P8,000 per night. Couples enjoy complimentary buffet breakfast at the all-day dining restaurant Escolta and then choose between a set dinner for two on the evening of their stay at either Mi Piace or Spices or a buffet dinner at Escolta. The “Peninsula Orange Valentine” envelopes guests in the fabulous world of Hermès-orange. Guests can choose from an array of Hermès bath and body products to use during their stay. The following morning, a short drive on a Mercedes-Benz limousine to the newly opened Hermès boutique in Greenbelt 5 for private viewing and shopping for designer fashions, fine leather, china and fragrances is next on the pampering agenda, and while doing all these, guests can enjoy a Peninsula Continental breakfast served by a butler on-site at the Hermès boutique. Room rates start at P17,000 per night for two in a Premier Suite.
