MANILA, Philippines — Global cosmetics brand MAC made true its promise to make actress and TV host Maine Mendoza’s lipstick available online starting this month.

Following Maine’s sold-out launches of her lipstick made in collaboration with MAC last September, the brand has planned to make the lipstick, together with lipsticks from other “makers," available in its global website for a limited time.

According to the brand’s Philippine arm, Maine’s MAC lipsticks were reportedly “gone in 60 seconds” or were sold out in just the first minute since it was first sold online last September.

The lipsticks sold in stores, which were reportedly 20,000, also got sold out on the first weekend when the lip color was launched.

Maine's limited-edition lipstick is a muted peachy beige shade with a matte finish. It also features an exclusive kiss-print packaging, designed and signed by Maine.

In a recent interview with Philstar.com following her launch as a Maxi-Peel endorser together with Marian Rivera, Maine said she is happy and grateful for the public’s reception for the lipstick she designed.

“Wala na daw eh. Limited-edition lang kasi s’ya,” she said when asked if there is a possibility to have her lipstick replenished in stores.

“Marami ako dito, nagbebenta ako, P10,000 isa, charot!” she jokingly added.

There are no plans yet, she said, to make a follow-up to her collaboration with MAC. Maine is the brand's first Filipina "maker."

Nonetheless, another Filipino, beauty vlogger and makeup artist Patrick Starr, has just announced his new Christmas collection and the return of his other cosmetics for the brand.

The new Christmas collection includes glittery lip glosses, matte lipsticks, eye shadows, highlighters, and his signature “baking” powder.
