MANILA, Philippines - Surf apparel brand Roxy recently launched the DVF Loves Roxy swimwear collection, a collaboration with iconic designer Diane von Furstenberg. The fashion show, held by the seawall side garden of Sofitel Philippine Plaza gave guests a sneak peek of the new line of swimsuits, which reflected DVF’s trademark penchant for florals, vintage patterns and refined silhouettes that flatter the female form.
The collection married Roxy’s surf-style DNA harmoniously with von Furstenberg’s trailblazing design spirit –– it featured fun hints of nostalgia reminiscent of groovy retro patterns, made tasteful and sophisticated with elegant cuts. A one-time-only collection, the DVF Loves Roxy line includes boardshorts, rashguards and swimwear.
Via a video clip, Von Furstenberg, who professed her love for the beach culture, expressed her excitement about her collaboration with Roxy. “We wanted to empower women to go for it and ride the wave! The result? A collection that celebrates the fun, fearlessand definitive beauty of femininity –– no less than all the characteristics which make for an ideal Roxy and DVF woman.â€
