MANILA, Philippines - Emporio Armani Women’s fall/winter 2012 collection is about lightness and freedom, with fun little touches of pure fantasy.
The collection shows an extraordinary array of bags and shoes: long, tambourine-shaped shoulder bags, like huge powder compacts. There are handbags of velvet combined with net mesh.
The color palette for both the handbags and shoes, which includes black, white, Indian red and amethyst blue, has the iridescence of velvet.
The entire collection is animated by ironic touches, which, like true folies d’hiver, allude to the style of the Roaring Twenties.
