MANILA, Philippines - Chanel’s summer 2012 Levres Scintillantes lip-gloss collection, Roses Ultimes de Chanel, combines all the assets of the perfect lip-gloss: intense shine, seductive shades, and a comfortable texture.
Since its creation in 1999, it has established itself as a cocktail of elegance and imagination. Reinvented each season, in natural pearlescent or sparkling finishes, Chanel’s iconic lip-gloss colors the lips with one stroke.
With the Roses Ultimes de Chanel collection, Peter Philips, creative director of Chanel Makeup, explores every shade of the pink spectrum, from pastel to fuchsia, sheer to intense, with or without shimmer, to convey tender innocence or bold sensuality.
The collection’s six shades include Surprise, an almost transparent pale pink set off with multicolored particles; Plaisir, an opalescent, shimmer-free pastel pink; Volupté, which enhances the lips’ natural color with shimmer-free deep coral pink; Amour, an iridescent coral with multiple pink and silvery sparkles; Desir, an intense, high-sparkle pink; and Jalousie, ultra-fine pearl particles melted into an intense fuchsia shade for a high-color, shimmer-free vinyl effect.
Chanel’s accompanying Le Vernis nail polish collection also sparkles, blending discreet charm with seduction. The four colors include Attraction, the ultimate white pearl; Frisson, very soft pink warmed with golden flashes; Distraction, vibrant coral enlivened with blue-toned glints; and Tentation, an ultra-feminine, intense and sensual fuchsia.
