MANILA, Philippines - Bulgari will auction a collection of 11 one-of-a-kind high jewelry creations and seven limited-edition timepieces at Christie’s New York on Dec. 8 to further strengthen its support for Save the Children. The collection is worth $4 million and all proceeds will be donated to the organization’s “Rewrite the Future” campaign that aims to provide quality education for eight million children in conflict-affected areas.
The auction collection was presented to the public during Bulgari’s inauguration of their first-ever retrospective museum exhibition in Rome. The collection began a world tour last June during high-profile events. The international tour concludes with the New York auction in December.
This year, Bulgari launched a silver ring and pendant exclusively created to support the “Rewrite the Future” campaign available in Bulgari boutiques worldwide. The ring and pendant will only be available until Dec.31, 2009. For each ring and pendant sold, 20 percent will go directly to the campaign.
Celebrity supporters include Julianne Moore, Benicio Del Toro, Ben Stiller, Sally Field, Sting, Willem Dafoe, Rosario Fiorello, Gabriele Muccino, Jason Lewis, Andy Garcia, Valeria Golino, Isabella Rossellini and Debra Messing.
The Bulgari “Save the Children” ring and pendant are available at Bulgari boutiques located in Greenbelt 4 Mall (tel. 728-5061 to 62) and 6750 Ayala Arcade Center (tel. 893-3189).
