MANILA, Philippines — The season of joy has officially begun at Marco Polo Ortigas Manila as the Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Award Winner unlocked the doors to Winterland with a golden key and a ceremonial tree lighting last Nov. 21. This year’s theme comes from the classic tale that brings a magical journey. Guests were welcomed by voices of a choir group with a set of Christmas carols.

Sharing the spirit of Christmas, children from Riversprings School gathered to light up the 25-foot Christmas tree together with owning company Xin Tian Ti, officially starting the magical journey. The spectacle of lights bringing wonder to the whimsical decorations takes guests through nostalgia reminiscent of the classic book.

Afterwards, the hotel’s associates surprised everyone with a performance over a classic holiday song.
