MANILA, Philippines - “35 Years: Celebrating the Anniversary of The Peninsula Manila in Photographs” features black and white images of staff at work. These images include the iconic Peninsula pageboy that has come to personify not just The Peninsula Manila but The Peninsula Hotel’s personal approach to service. In keeping with the times, the pageboy is joined in his portrait by two pagegirls whose functions are no less different from their male counterpart – to be ready to respond to guests’ needs.
The Lobby, lower basement shopping arcade and Escolta restaurant of The Peninsula Manila acted as a temporary gallery for 35 photographs of the hotel’s staff taken by beauty and fashion photographer Sara Black and curated by Albert Avellana.
