MANILA, Philippines - The thriving city of Cebu is poised to become the next largest city of smiles in the Philippines with the launch of an accessible, top-notch dental healthcare center: Metro Dental.
Just recently, Dr. Steve Mark Gan, president and chief executive officer of Metro Dental and Rene Buenaventura, vice chairman of the Equicom Group of Companies, formally opened Metro Dental’s newest branches in Robinsons Cybergate and SM City Cebu. Joining them were reality show celebrity Kim Chiu and Metro Dental officers Dr. Sonny Burias, chief operating officer for Dental Business and External Affairs, and Dr. Cherrie Anne Cruz, chief operating officer for Internal Affairs.
“Metro Dental aims to turn the Philippines into a cavity-free nation and its regional expansion to Cebu is a step to make this happen,” said Dr. Gan.
The dental center’s grand opening also became a venue for the unveiling of “Cebu Smiles,” a photo exhibit profiling the dazzling smiles of Cebu’s elite and distinguished personalities. Renowned and sought-after photographer Xander Angeles featured the smiles of Cebu’s finest, including socialite Carla Yeung, Pyroworks Philippines CEO Brian Lim, fashion designers Jun Escario, Cary Santiago, and Arcy Gayatin, stylist Krystle Uy, lawyer and columnist Joseph Gonzales, publicist Charlene Go, eventologist Andrew Sarmiento, ABS CBN Cebu actor Jake Maningo, entrepreneurs Kate Anzani and Jay Aldeguer, sports and fitness enthusiasts Amale and Noy Jopson, businessman Glenn Soco, ophthalmologist and eye surgeon Dr. Yong Larrazabal, and Azkal member Paolo Pascual, among others.
“Cebu Smiles is an exhibit highlighting the beautiful smiles of the city’s pride,” shared Dr. Gan. “It aims to serve as an inspiration to Filipinos to take care of their dental health.”
With the opening of Metro Dental in the highly accessible areas of Cebu City, Cebuano families will have easier access to dental services ranging from preventive and restorative dentistry to cosmetic dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), orthodontics (braces), and dental implantology.
Significantly, Metro Dental is also home to dental technologies that redefine oral healthcare in the Philippines. The roster includes digital dental X-rays (periapical and panoramic), Elexxion laser, plasma arc blue light, air polishing machine, intra-oral cameras, ultrasonic scaler, dental chairs imported from Germany, to name a few. Apart from these, each treatment room has a 42-inch LCD TV for patients who prefer to watch movies during treatment.
Metro Dental’s unique advantage is its core of full-time licensed dentists who are all well-versed in the latest dental techniques and state-of-the-art equipment “The fact that our practitioners undergo continuous training further ensures that our patients get the care and treatment they deserve,” noted Dr. Gan.
Indeed, the launch of the newest Metro Dental clinics in Cebu marks a regional milestone for Filipino families looking for elevated dental healthcare that fits their specialized needs and lifestyle.
