MANILA, Philippines - The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) presents the “Hugo Yonzon Jr. Retrospective,†which is on view until July 6 at the Bulwagang Juan Luna (Main Gallery) of CCP, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City.
Hugo Yonzon Jr. is one of the major artists in post-war Philippine modernist painting. His works in this show, spanning from 1948 to 1994, are mostly in oil, his preferred medium.

‘Best of the Philippines’ at Prince Hotel, HK
In celebration of Philippine Independence Day, 14 Hong Kong-based Filipino artists hold “Best of the Philippines,†which is on view until June 29 at Prince Hotel, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
Featured are the works of Pintura Circle artists Abigail Camaya-Hills, Grace Pineda- Camacho, Irene Bernarte-Haagen, Stella Tansengco-Schapero, Joyce Herrera-Wong, and Bono Albania-Connor, Jun Cambel, Justo Cascante III, Nida Hemedes- Cranbourne, Cheryle Cranbourne, Janet Pancho- Gupta, Jhoie McNally, Manuel Rubio and Bobit Segismundo.
Established in April 2012, Pintura Circle aims to promote art and raise funds for charitable causes.
Guests of honor include Deputy Consul General Rosanna Villamor-Voogel, Prince Hotel manager Christoph Hoeflich and National Artist BenCab, who harnessed Pintura Circle members’ passion for art.
