MANILA, Philippines - Boston Gallery presents the works of Dexter Sy in “Lineage,†which opens on June 29, 6 p.m.
In “Lineage,†Sy plays on layer upon layer of portraits to signal the physical features, habits and dispositions parents pass on to their children. The exhibit invites us to question the strength of filial connections, the resilience of traditions and the compounded aspirations for the young to secure ties that bind.

‘Nature’s Impulse’ at Ayala Museum’s ArtistSpace
Ross Capili’s latest show, “Nature’s Impulse,†on view from June 26 to July 8 at ArtistSpace in Ayala Museum, is a collection of the artist’s intimate encounters with nature, which have also provided him with some of his most deeply aesthetic moments. ‘Fragmentos’ at vMeme Contemporary Art Gallery
Francisco M. Verano’s “Fragmentos,†a collection of paintings and sculptures dating back to 1959, is featured at vMeme Contemporary Art Gallery until July 26.
The exhibit unveils 30 paintings and nine sculptures alongside his very first recognized sculpture titled “Stone Idol,†the groundbreaking fragment that jumpstarts the art historical visual ensemble.
The exhibition is guest curated by Sheryll Torres and CreatingSpace Inc. under its Relay Program.

‘Christchurch: See Through My Eyes’ at the Yuchengco Museum
The New Zealand Embassy, in cooperation with UNICEF, presents “Christchurch: See Through My Eyes,†which features photographs taken by 24 children from Christchurch, New Zealand illustrating how the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes affected their lives and communities.
The young photographers, aged 11 to 14, participated in workshops led by professional photographer and ICT educator Stuart Hale.
