Ballet Philippines and Philippine Opera Company in ‘Sing, Dance, Love, Change’

MANILA, Philippines - Ballet Philippines and the Philippine Opera Company present “Sing, Dance, Love, Change” on March 7 at the Shangri-La Makati Ballroom.

The dinner-show is a unique mix of ballet and song and the very first that showcases Filipino music soulfully sung by the Philippine Opera Company, with the songs brought to life by original contemporary choreographies interpreted by the multi-awarded dancers of Ballet Philippines.

It features the music of Ryan Cayabyab, George Canseco and Willie Cruz, with songs such as Kastilyong Buhangin, Iniibig Kita, Ngayon at Kailanman, Anak and Bayan Ko.

Candice Adea, the most bemedalled ballerina who has won in numerous ballet olympiads and dance competitions abroad, will also perform with partner Jean Marc Cordero, who received a special award in the Helsinki dance competition. Krisbelle Paclibar, who took the lead role in Cirque du Soleil’s production of Zaia in Macau, interprets Agnes Locsin’s stirring “Salome.”

All donations to Ballet Philippines are fully tax deductible. Tickets at P7,000, P5,000 and P3,000 are available at Ballet Philippines (551-1003). Dinner is at 7 p.m., and show starts at 8 p.m.
