A gathering of the prominent names in the diplomatic, business, social and media circles took place at the Mandarin Oriental Manila’s sophisticated MO Lounge for the luxury hotel’s tree-lighting ceremony and Christmas concert. The benefit event was held in cooperation with Universal Harvester Inc. in support of The Outstanding Farmers of the Philippines’ (TOFARM) project to help uplift the lives of the farmers and their families affected by typhoon Yolanda as well as the rebuilding of farmlands.
Leading the tree-lighting ceremony were Mandarin Oriental Manila general manager Torsten van Dullemen, Universal Harvester Inc. executive vice president Dr. Milagros How and TOFARM 2013 awardee and Yolanda survivor Eleuterio Indic. Meanwhile, Mandarin Oriental Manila hotel manager Oliver Kreuzer and communications director Charisse Chuidian made sure that everyone had a great time the entire evening, enjoying the delectable fare specially prepared by the hotel’s expert chefs and complemented by overflowing drinks.
The Metro Manila Concert Orchestra under the baton of musical director Prof. Josefino “Chino†Toledo serenaded the guests with some of the well-loved Christmas carols that lasted until the end of the program.
Congratulations to the brilliant general manager Torsten van Dullemen and the whole Mandarin Oriental Manila team for this meaningful affair!
